Access To The Location

Pindul cave is one of the beautiful cave in Gunungkidul. It is located in Gelaran, Karangmojo, Gunungkidul. It is around 20 kilometers from Wonosari by motorcycle or car. It takes around 20 minutes from the central city of Gunungkidul. Same as Kali Suci Cave it is also categorized as karst cave which the main typical is having the underground river. This cave consists of horizontal and vertical cave and also the river flows around the cave. The main cave length is 350 meters. It has a beautiful cave ornament inside. There are some natural shapes such as stalactite and stalagmite. There are also some original cave animal species inside the cave such as scorpions, snakes, bats, and some other smaller animals. The vegetation which we can find inside the cave such as moss. Outside the cave the scenery looks so wonderful and fresh. You can find the natural forest consisted of some natural vegetations and animals around.

Back to the river

One of the activity you can do in this tourism object of course cave tubing. The cave tubing crew will guide you during the cave adventure while explaining some cave datails. Bingoo! You will got both fun and new knowledge then! Another fun activity you may do here is tracing the river. It needs around 40-60 minutes for the cave tubing itself. You can also try an amazing adventure on the Oyo River. This river adventure is open-door adventure by doing the river tubing while seeing the beautiful natural view around the river. For the safety you dont need to be worry since the crew for sure will lend you some safety equipment such as float, rubber shoes, and also the tube for tracing the cave and river.

During the cave adventure inside the cave you will pass some zones which has each own criteria in each zone. For example at the first zone the light still can get through so it is not too dark here. While at the second zone the dark started this zone is called cloudy zone (zona remang) and in this zone there are some unique shape of stalagmite such as Perkasa Stalagmite and Mutiara Stalagmite. At the middle of the tubing you will pass the darkest and narrowest zone. Here you can find the biggest stalactite which is well-known as Soko Guru that has 7 meters length. The next zone called bat zone since there are so many cave bats there. In this zone you will also see the beautiful stalactite which formed as curtains that has crystal likes on the surface. Before ending your adventure there is one more wonderful zone called The Hidden Paradise of Jogja. On this zone there is a light from the top of the cave which only can be seen in the shiny days around 10-12 am since this light comes from the sun shines' light. While for the river tubing in Oyo River you will feel the natural outside scenery such as you can find in Green Canyon. You can freely cream out and playing water there. The wonderful view of the river side will refresh your mind automatically.

Public Facility

Talking about the facility instead of the adventure area here there are also some facilities provided such as toilet, mosque, cafetaria, rest area, large parking area, and the Pajero Pindul (car which bring you back to the basecamp after the cave or river adventure). There are also some professional tour guide crew who will help you during your adventure.

Ticketting Price

Pindul cave tourism object opens everyday but mostly it will be very crowded during the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. It opens since 7 am until 4 pm. But for the last registration of cave tubing will be until 3 pm only. The ticketing price costs 35.000 for the full package of cave tubing. While if you want to do the river tubing in Oyo River the ticketing costs 45.000. All of these ticket prices are already include the safety insurance. For the snacking price you dont need to be worry such most of the snacks have cheaper price but still with the nice taste and healthy for your stomach.
