General Information

Known as hill and karst area, Gunungkidul has one newest beautiful tourism object which is called as 4G Hill. The name of this hill comes from the combination of the hill's name and it's location, it is Gunung Gentong, Gedangsari, Gunungkidul. As the newest tourism object, 4G Hill has it's great panorama. This tourism object is located in Manggung, Ngalang, Gedangsari, Gunungkidul. It is around 5 kilometers to the south-direction of Gedangsari village. From Yogyakarta city, it takes around 1 hour journey to reach the location.

The wonderful view from the top of this hill is famous as the "above the sky country of Gunungkidul." By visiting this area, the visitors will enjoy the great scenery, especially the clouds view. The most wanted moments which is hunted by the visitors are the sunrise and the sunset view. Since the location is at the top of the hill, so everybody may see the great view of sunrise and sunset without any barrier. Moreover, even though the weather is cloudy or fogy, we are still able to enjoy the beautiful scenery from this location.

Besides, enjoying the nice view of this object while taking some amazing pictures, we can also enjoy camping at the camping ground there. The most favorite spots on this object are Tol Buntung Omben Gagak and the Gazebo which are provided there. The main reason why those spots are so attractive, because from those spots, we can enjoy the view all around the top of the hill: the sky/ clouds view and the downside view. From this area, there are some visitors who come for taking pre-wedding pictures.

Since, it just opened at the early of this year (2017), the facility is not complete yet. For the entrance fee, it is still free. The visitors only need to pay the parking fee, IDR 2.000 for motorcycle and IDR 5.000 for car.
