If you are visiting Gunungkidul, I recomend you to visit one of the southeast beach of Gunungkidul which is called Wediombo Beach. The most interesting view that you may see here is the beautiful sunset at the evening. The combination of the sound of the wind and the weave splashing is such an endless authenticity.
Location and Route
Compared with another beaches in Gunungkidul, this beach is located farther at the southeast area of the regency. The exact location of the beach is in Jepitu, Girisubo, Gunungkidul.
It is located around 30 kilometers from the central city of Gunungkidul or it takes around one and a half hours to go there by motorcycle. The route to go there is very easy since there are so many destination mark a long the road there. The beautiful scenery of the villagers traditional house, field and the natural view all the way there will erase all the tiredness during the journey. In addition, when we've reached there, the wonderful view of the beach will boost up our mood immediately.

Interesting Activities
There are some activities that we can do in Wediombo beach. Taking picture with friends or family is one of the activity that must be done there, since the wonderful scenery must be unforgettable. Actually, swimming and playing at the water are forbidden there, but in Wediombo there is the natural pool which made of the natural rock that form a pool which has around 1.5 meters depth. Accordingly, this natural pool become the alternative spot for swimming and playing at the ocean water in Wediombo beach. Besides, the visitors may also try surving activity, but mostly this activity is done by the expert especially surving atlete. Having snack time with family while enjoying the wonderful scenery of the beach is also become the favorite activity there. Thus, there is one the most activity that cannot be done every where, it is enjoying the sun set. This beautiful beach is almost perfectly face the west side, so when it is sun set time, the scenery is really amazing and beautiful.

Public Facilities
The public facilities that the beach has are quite complete. It has parking area, toilet, small mosque which has complete praying needs, and culinary area. At the culinary area, the visitors may try some kinds of foods, such as sea food, traditional foods, instant foods, or snacks. Traditional foods that we can find in Wediombo Beach such as thiwul and pecel, which are very delicious.
Considering the wonderful view and some interesting activities which we can done here, I recommend you to come here to spend your weekend or holiday to feel the amazing moment.
