Puncak Becici is another tourism object which is located in one area with Mangunan Pine Forest. The exact address of this spot is in Gunung Cilik, Muntuk, Dlingo, Bantul Yogyakarta. Another name of Puncak Becici is Sudimoro 1 Forest or Becici Asri.
General Information about Puncak Becici
The name Becici itself came from two Javanese words, they are "ambeg" which means stay silence and "suci" which means pure/ holy. Same as Mangunan Pine Forest, previously this spot had function as the protection and production forest, but as time goes by there are some visitors come here to enjoy the twilight, so the organizer makes this object as one of the tourism spot. Accordingly, there are some public facilities build on this spot such as parking area, toilet, gazebos, and tree-house. The most favorite spot of this Puncak Becici is the tree-house, since the visitors can enjoy the wonderful scenery from the higher spot and enjoy the beautiful twilight here.

Puncak Becici Tracking
From the parking area, you need to do tracking to reach Puncak Becici itself. Don't worry of getting bored during your tracking, since you will track on the pine forest area which will really refresh your mind. When your journey is almost end to the top zone, you need to track upward. The top zone of Puncak Becici is divided into two areas. The first one is the highest area. On this area the visitors can freely see the scenery all around without any barriers. From this highest spot, the visitors will enjoy the view of the west and north side of this spot. While at the second area (or the lower area), the visitors still can enjoy the view from the high spot, but it is at the lower high where there are some growing trees as the barrier. The main view from this second spot are the west and the south side.

Most of visitors come here at the morning or at the evening. When you come here at the morning, for sure you can feel the real natural fresh air. In a shiny days, you can see the top of Mount Merapi and Mount Sumbing from this Puncak Becici. You can also enjoy the wonderful green scenery of the fields under the hill, Yogyakarta city and the villagers' houses. While at the evening, you will feel such a great twilight with it's golden sunset from the top of this Puncak Becici. The easier tracking route makes the visitors much more enjoy each step of their journey. For those who like photography, it would be the greatest spot to take the amazing pictures from up of the hill side. This spot is also allowed for the outbond activity.
Ticketing Price and Access
Talking about the ticketing price, it is free entrance. So, the visitors only need to pay the parking fee as much IDR 2.000 (for motorcycle) and IDR 10.000 (for car). The access to go to Puncak Becici is quite easy. There are two routes you can take. From Yogykarta, the route is same as Mangunan Pine Forest, by finding the direction to Imogiri, Bantul and then go ahead to Mangunan Village. While from Gunungkidul, you can take a route from Patuk to Imogiri. So, whenever you go to Mangunan Pine Forest or to Bantul, I recommend you to come here and enjoy your unforgetable golden twilight!
