Besides the exotic objects, Mangunan Pine Forest and Puncak Becici, there is one more tourism object that you cant skip, it is Mangunan Fruits Garden. It is located in Mangunan, Dlingo, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The exact location is around 15 kilometers from Bantul city or 35 kilometers from the central city of Yogyakarta. Located in a high area around 200 meters above the ocean line, this object is popularly called Above the Sky Country.

General Information

Mangunan Fruits Garden has 23,34 Ha width area. It became the agro-object which was legitimated in 2013. There are so many fruit tress which are planted here. They are durian, mango, orrange, rambutan, sapodilla, mangosteen, duku, and rose-apple fruits. Those are the major trees in this garden, besides there are also some minority trees such as kelengkeng, guava, matoa, star-fruit, and cempedak trees.Besides some fruit trees collection, from this garden, the visitors  will find the great scenery from the hill. When you look at the west side, you will see the beautiful Bantul city from this area, while at your south side, you can see the surface of Parangtritis Ocean. If you look down-side, you will see the greatness of Kali Oyo.

Fun Activities

Besides going there for the fun vacation, there are so many activities you can do here. From the agro-education, you can see the process of the fruits' plantation, started from the seeding process until the process of taking care of the fruits' trees. For those whole like sports, you can do some sport activities such as jogging, swimming, and mountain bike. Especially for mountain bikers, there are downhill track (2.3 kilometers length) and cross-country track (3.8 kilometers length). There is also a fish pool for those whose hobby is fishing. For family gathering or organization gathering, this spot offers also some outbond activities, such as flying fox, reflying, and walking along the hanging bridge. Camping ground is alo available on this object. FOr indoor activity purpose, there is also an indoor room with 50 people capacity. When you come here at early morning, from the hill area, you will see the real great above the sky country. Exactly. Since, at the morning the area under the hill is still covered by the morning fogs which make you feel like you are stepping above the sky. Just come and try the great experience when you take your picture, the fogs behind you just look like the sky-clouds which make your position as at above the sky.

Ticketting Price and Access

Talking about the ticketing price, for the entrance fee you need to pay IDR 10.000 per person, while for each activity which using the object's medium there will be an additional fee. For example, for downhill and cross-country tracking, you need to pay IDR 50.000; for swimming you need to pay IDR 5.000 per person; while for outbond activities and camping ground the additional fee will be depended on the package taken by the visitors. You don't need to worry about the access to go to this fruits garden, since the route is quite simple: From Bantul, you have to take the direction to Imogiri, from Imogiri market go straight until you find the T-junction then you have to turn left, go straight a head there will be the direction planks which will make your trip easier until you reach the location.
