About Tea Garden

Before becoming famous as tourism object, the tea farmers of Samigaluh only get their income from the tea leaves selling to the purchaser from another city. Recently, Kulon Progo regency government cooperates with Samigaluh tea farmers to raise up the tea product as the icon of Samigaluh tea garden. They build the cooperation with PT Pagilaran as a tea production and finally they launch Samigaluh original tea product called "Teh Wangi Suroloyo".

Route to the Tea Garden

From Yogyakarta city, we have to find Godean street or from Tugu Jogja take the west direction to Kulon Progo, go straight about 18 kilometers. After Kali Progo bridge, we will find the traffic light, here we need to turn right until we find the next traffic light. At this second traffic light we need to turn left and go ahead until we find Plono traditional market, then we just have to follow the direction plank of Nglinggo Tea Garden.

Enjoy The Natural Scenery

The fresh air and green view all arround will welcome us when we arrive this object. Having fun with friend and family at this such wonderful place will be very amazing. We can take pictures as many as we can with the natural green background of tea garden. If there are farmers who pick the tea leaves, maybe we can join then and feel the experience of becoming the  tea farmer. Another great spot we can try during our trip in Nglinggo Tea Garden is to track up to the top of Kukusan Mountain which also the part of Menoreh Hill. But, we need to be careful, since the track of this mountain is still natural that sometimes steep and slippery. From the top of Kukusan Mountain, for sure we will see the wonderful view of the Tea Garden and the scenery of Samigaluh area. In addition, from this tea garden we can also see the top of Sindoro and Sumbing mountain especially if  the weather is shiny. If we need to take a rest for having some snacks or drink, there are some bench provided at this tea garden.
